Since blogging is now the in thing to do, I (Tara) thought it would be a fun thing to do and also a useful thing to do since so many of our friends are so far away and life is so busy for all of us it has been hard to keep up with each other. We are presently trying to wrap up a very long home buying process that has been full of twists and turns. Hopefully we will be closing on Friday and can’t wait to be one step closer to making this house our own. We will posting pictures soon of the house in its “before” stage so that anyone who follows the blog can also follow the house as it changes into our HOME!!!
A couple of things about the house; it is a three bedroom, one bath home with all of what appear to be the original electrical, plumbing and gas. It also has the original gas water heater and furnace. All of that to say, we have a lot of work ahead of us. The bathroom is updated and the carpet is relatively new (which we hope to say is covering beautiful hardwood underneath!) Our neighbors all appear to be very nice and we will be living within walking distance of our good friends Anna and Anthony Kidd.
While we have been going through the drama of home ownership we have also been getting situated back here in Alabama, being away for a year in North Carolina made everything very different. We are both attending school at the University of Mobile again, and are learning a lot in and out of the classroom. This has been very different the second time around. Both of us were looking forward to this transition but expected it everything to be just as we left it, that did not happen. Things have changed here, some for the better, some for the worse. We are very glad to be here and very thankful for what the Lord is doing in us right now.
Since school work is calling and the need to be studious is great farwell for now!
