>Where are Our Treasures?

>

So just as an update…we are not closing today after all. We are still waiting for some paperwork to come through so we will probably be closing on Monday August 31, MY BIRTHDAY! So I am getting the best birthday gift ever, a home! The only downside to this is that we cannot leave our storage building for another month which equals another month’s rent but now we have a whole month to get all of our stuff moved in and settled without having to be through cleaning and moving in this weekend. This also means I get to go to Millbrook for my birthday to see my family and pick up some stuff that we will need to move in (our new fridge and Matthew’s library).

Through all of this home searching and buying process we have been spending a lot of time at the school because our commute is so long from my grandparents house to go to work and school. We have been here from 8:00am to 9:00pm most weekdays. This has been stressful for a number of reasons but has been a great reminder of what our treasures truly are. We have been living out of a suitcase since May and all of our belongings are in a 10×15 storage building. But our treasures are not in the things that we have or in the house that we live in. The Lord is our treasure and joy. Nothing else. It is so easy to get upset over our circumstances but what a great reminder it is that we do not need the things that we are so often convinced we would die without
