>Now what?

>”Sing, O barren one, who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor!…Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations been stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.” Isaiah 54:1-3

We had our doctor’s appointment today! We went in not really knowing what to expect since we had taken a month off, it was overwhelming to say the least. We got a lot of information and quite a surprise.

We found out that they are choosing not to put me back on clomid (oral medication) since it was not effective in the least. The next question was, now what? We know that we do not want to do IVF but what are our options?

We can’t afford injectable drugs which run $600.00 or more a month. We were offered a free month of injectable drugs because of the surplus they had from the couples whose insurance covers medication and who got pregnant before they had used up all the drugs that they had acquired. Free drugs?!?

So starting January 11, 2010 we will be doing our first round of injectable fertility medication…how do we feel? Nervous, excited, overwhelmed, frightened and hopeful. So please continue to pray for us as we learn how to inject me in the belly with the medication and how to better lean in faith on the Lord’s plan for our situation. Not being promised to have children of our own but that the Lord has his hands on our situation and has molded it exactly as he has seen fit. In faith we are strengthening our stakes and enlarging our tent…here we go again!
