>We got some somewhat disappointing news today about the adoption, and we aren’t 100% sure what to make of it. When we first started the process to adopt from Taiwan we made sure it wouldn’t be a problem that we had not been married two years (which is a pretty typical requirement). We got an email today saying that we had not been married long enough and were going to have to wait until then to even get on the waiting list. Thankfully, that is only August 2, 2010!

There is another upsetting thing. They aren’t putting any more couples on the waiting list right now due to the large volume of families they have already on the list. Also, the man who runs the orphanage, Ted, had to leave Taiwan and come back to the States because his father is not in good health.

We are not sure what to do right now. The email was not encouraging about our chances of getting on the list and officially accepted by the orphanage anytime soon and they encouraged us to look at a US adoption. The only problem is…WE HAVE ALREADY STARTED OUR HOMESTUDY. WE HAVE A NURSERY ALMOST DONE. I AM READY TO BE A MOMMY.

It will all work out exactly how the Lord has planned it, but we are a little discouraged right now. Please pray for us and for Annie during this time.
Oh by the way, sorry I haven’t been around for the past few days, we have been very busy. Tomorrow I hope to catch up on all the happenings in the blog world! Hope you have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day Weekend.

    >oh no. I cant imagine that kind of anxiety. I wish you the best.

  4. >Tara, I am so sorry. I know how you feel. We were in the Vietnam program for three years and the country closed its doors and we had to start over. Thus, Taiwan. I know you have to feel discouraged, but know that God is good. I had two years of posts waiting to be a mommy. My heart aches for you. You will find your angel. you have to trust God to lead you there.
